Who we are

Tadhpatra (tadhpatra.com) is a free panchang and astrology website in Hindi and English, run by the Tadhpatra team in India. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean the Tadhpatra team. You can reach us at hello@tadhpatra.com.

What we do not collect

There are no user accounts or logins on Tadhpatra, and no forms that send your information to us. The site itself does not set any cookies.

Your birth details

The kundli, kundli milan and choghadiya tools run entirely in your own browser, on your phone or computer. The date, time and place of birth you enter are kept only in the part of the page address after the '#' sign (the URL hash), which browsers never send to a server. So these details are not sent to us and we do not store them anywhere.

To help you pick a birthplace, your browser downloads a list of places from our site; the search itself happens on your device.

If you copy a kundli link and send it to someone, the link carries your birth details, and anyone who opens it can see them. Share such links only with people you trust.

Hosting and server logs

Tadhpatra is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare may automatically record standard technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser details (user agent), the page requested and the time, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse and attacks.

Cloudflare may also give us cookieless Web Analytics, which show only totals, such as how many times a page was visited. We do not use this information to identify anyone. How Cloudflare handles this data is described in its privacy policy: www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

Fonts and other services

The site's fonts are downloaded and bundled with the site when it is built, so your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other font service when you visit. Today the site loads no third-party scripts, trackers or advertising.

Advertising (may be introduced)

To keep Tadhpatra free, we may start showing ads through Google AdSense. If we do, Google and its partners will use cookies to show ads and measure them, which can include ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites.

You can turn off personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). How Google uses this information is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We will update this policy when ads are introduced.

Paid reports (may be introduced)

We may start offering paid digital reports, such as a detailed kundli report as a PDF. If you buy one, we will need only what is required to prepare and deliver it: the birth details for the report and an email address to send it to.

Payments will be handled by Razorpay. Your card, UPI or bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure page; we never see or store them. We receive only a payment confirmation and a transaction reference from Razorpay. Razorpay's own privacy policy also applies: razorpay.com/privacy/

We will keep order records only as long as needed to deliver reports, handle refunds and meet legal and tax requirements.

Children

Tadhpatra's free pages are for everyone, but none of our paid services are directed at anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before buying anything.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, and raise a grievance. As we do not collect personal data through the site today, there is usually nothing for us to look up, but you are always welcome to write to us.

Grievances

For any concern about your privacy, write to hello@tadhpatra.com with the subject "Grievance". We will respond within 30 days, in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the "last updated" date above.
